Answers to common questions

What is Kurasie?

Kurasie is a tool that allows you to curate online content and share it through your social media channels and website.

What does Kurasie mean?

Kurasie is Afrikaans for curation, the first language listed in the Google translate tool.

What is content curation?

Content curation is the act of aggregating content around a specific subject or interest and selecting the best quality content to share with your audience.

Why curate content?

There is an enormous amount of information on every imaginable subject available online. We no longer have to remember things as we can look them up. Finding information is no longer the problem, finding quality information is the problem.

By curating content you solve this problem for your audience. Making it easier for them to source original quality content easily from a single location, you!

How does Kurasie work?

Kurasie allows you to store key sources of information in a central location. It updates automatically from the websites you define. You are then able to share selected content, called curation, through the channels you choose, such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.

You can even curate content onto your own website to create a powerful resource of information for your audience.

Do I need to use Kurasie every day?

No, Kurasie has a powerful built in scheduling feature which will allow you to manually select content for distribution and allocate it a time to be sent through your chosen channels. This means you can manage your social media and content marketing at a time that best suits your business, and still reach your target audience at the most effective times of day.

Does it take long to manage?

You can curate enough content for all your social channels and updates for your website in as little as 30 minutes with practise. The key is understanding your audience, once you know what they want to read it is easy to select the right information to share.

Is Kurasie automated?

No Kurasie is not automated. Kurasie helps you store, organise, schedule and share content, but you have to manually select what you share. This ensures that your audience gets to see only the quality content you have selected.

Does curation infringe copyright?

No, you are only sharing what is already freely available online. Like Google you are cataloguing content, but unlike Google you are only doing so within a selected market sector, making your content curation highly relevant. All links to the full articles are maintained, and your audience will need to visit the originators website to read the full article.

How will curating content on my website affect SEO?

Curation can have a positive impact on search engine optimisation. As you are providing an additional service to the audience by re-organising and indexing content for easier access Google see’s this as a positive and it can assist in improving relevant search rankings.

How do I know if the content I am sharing is effective?

Ideally you will see this in increased business enquiries or sales, but in addition Kurasie tracks all the interactions with the content you share so you can see what content is working and what isn’t. You will have access to detailed analytics based on the content you share through your social channels and website.

Why should I use Kurasie over other products in the marketplace?

There’s nothing quite like Kurasie in the market at present. There are some Enterprise solutions costing thousands of pounds and some applications that have some of the functionality. But Kurasie combines all the functionality you require to curate content, build authority and measure the results.

Is it easy to integrate with all my existing RSS feeds in Feedly for example into Kurasie?

If your existing RSS reader allows you to export your feeds in OPML format then you can import this into Kurasie. If you have any problems importing your feeds from another application please contact support@kurasie.com.
